The Genesis V2 ASN transaction (also known as Despatch Advice notification in Europe) provides information on orders and goods shipped from the IM distribution centers. It contains information relating to shipments including product, quantity, tracking information, serial numbers, “Ship To” and “Ship From” addresses.
The Despatch Advice transaction is automatically posted from Ingram Micro’s XML gateway to the partner’s web server as soon as the order has been shipped. The partner’s web server should respond with an acknowledgement message to indicate successful acceptance of the message. Each shipment will produce its own Despatch Advice message.
The customer must provide a postback URL to which the transaction is to be posted.
